Word is that compost prices will struggle to stay down come the New Year.

As is so often the case, a shortage of a raw material leads to a price spike inevitability.

As the compost is the foundation of the mushroom industry, one must expect that produce prices will take a hike too.

And as energy costs are expected to increase too, the market could be in for a surprise price jolt come 2010.
