One of the big events in 2009 in the agricultural sector in Ireland was the Combines 4 Charity event that took place in Platin, Duleek, Co. Meath on the 15th of August.
The event promised 100 combines covering 100 acres. In the end over 175 combines were in attendance. The Guinness Book of World Records was there to confirm that the world record was smashed.
Stalker was impressed recently to see to that the number 1 combine harvester at the event was sponsored by none other than Reen Compost.
Photographic evidence of the 001 combine with the Reen logo came Stalker’s way just recently. It truly was a national event of import and raised copious amounts of money for charity.
It’s nice to know that the local mushroom industry can still get involved and help out with big charity events, even during these recessionary times.
