Stalker was amazed to see that a new advertisement, carried in The Belfast Telegraph on the 21 September, was for some real world seminars on “Twitter for business in Northern Ireland”. There were three locations for the breakfast seminars – and the seminars were to last an hour. The price for the real world seminars is slightly higher than the online 10 minute variety – they’re priced at £45. Now in the previously noted units, that’s a few good bottles of wine, or several crates of beer. Stalker still reckons that choosing one over the other will prevent the micturation of money or in the more common parlance – p*ssing your money away. Make your own mind up as to which option Stalker prefers.
Update on update:
Staff who use Twitter and other social networking sites while at work are costing UK businesses £1.38bn every year, a report has said.
Over half of those surveyed admitted using social networking sites during the working day for personal use.
On average those people spent 40 minutes per week on these sites.
IT services group Morse, who commissioned the research, said that such online behaviour clearly had a "productivity strain" on firms.
