The poultry litter power plant that was mooted last year is still seeking planning permission for construction of the power plant at the site near Glenavy in Co Antrim.
The company has investigated the potential to access water from Lough Neagh for cooling purposes at the new plant.
Rose Energy is working closely with the planning service of Northern Ireland to make sure that all information is available on the power plant proposal according to a company spokesman.
The power plant is seen as the only viable way for the disposal of poultry litter to proceed into the future in Northern Ireland.
The company hopes that the plant will be fully operational by 2012. Just like the Olympics, it is a huge undertaking.
Industry watchers are keeping a close eye on the whole project and like the Olympics no doubt, cost overruns will be something that everyone is keeping a close eye on.
