Stalker is always surprised by the stories that appear throughout the year about mushroom hunters that stumble onto weird finds.
There’s always been bodies, there have been supercars, and all sorts of oddities. The latest find happened when a man hunting mushrooms found the device, which was 2 feet long and 10 inches in diameter, near a culvert on U.S. Highway 6 in Johnson County.
It turned out to be an inert military tank round.
The man took the device to a convenience store in Coralville where he called police. Stalker would not liked to have been the shopkeeper at the store where he brought the shell - at that point they didn’t know it was inert!
