In it the editor of the self-styled “international independent magazine for growers” had a piece about the mushroom media landscape. With headings like;'Limited timeframes and budgets' and 'Availability of content suppliers', 'Bias vs. Independent Information' and 'We need you you need us', it was especially eye-catching for this reader.
Stalker fully supports the conclusion of the piece. The message was support the journals, advertise in them, and write for them.
The Biz ed. also put the onus on editors to shake their booty so to speak, and be “useful, practical, funny and positive, as well as critical, analytical and independent.
It’s no small order. Here’s hoping that all sides in the equation rise to the challenge.
