Dust off the glad rags, get that chin in perfect wagging order, the All Ireland Mushroom Conference is on again this year.
The date for the event is Thursday 21st May 2009 and the venue is that old favourite the Hillgrove Hotel in Monaghan town.
It's great to hear that the event is back on the cards again this year - is it a sign of hope amongst the pervading gloom of this past few months?
The conference and attendant Trade Show are events not to be missed.
The organising committee for this years’ event include representatives from AFBI, Bord Bia, CMP, DAFF, DARD, Dew Fresh Ltd, the IFA, Sylvan, Teagasc, and the UFU.
Topics up for discussion at the event include the latest research; a look at the potential uses of alternative energy sources; focus on market conditions; in depth look at disease control; and the issue de nos jours, surviving currency fluctuations.
More information on the conference will be forthcoming as the year progresses. So keep the diary free for that top notch Thursday in May.
