After media reports about the imminent demise of mycology as a subject of study in UK universities one student posted quite a funny blog entry.
“The head of our department apparently got all his mycologist pals to mass email the BBC to pull them up on their WRONGFUL report. While the report said we only have 8 mycologists in the UK, we have 5 in the building right here in Exeter. Hmmm. BBC didn't do well investigating this, obviously.”
Seems like the obituarises for the mushroom men will have to wait a while yet.
