The industry was shocked and saddened by the death of Sean McArdle of McArdle Mushrooms, and Callan Valley Casing, during in early October. Sean was a highly regarded figure in both the local mushroom world and in the community at large.
His sudden death at a relatively young age has greatly saddened all who knew him.
A very large funeral took place at the cathedral in Armagh for this long serving member of the mushroom industry.
A substantial contingent of mushroom industry personnel, past and present, attended the funeral Mass.
Sympathies are extended to Sean’s family and friends.
