The new Secretary of State at Defra, Jane Kennedy, should be a familiar face to northern folk, having done at a stint at the NIO a few years ago.
Word is she will have to get to grips with Defra's unique way of handling things.
This month it was revealed that the department had lost 122 laptops, five digital cameras, one fax machine, various car parts from official vehicles, a whole set of laboratory equipment, and a toaster.
Even more worrying is that the department seems to have lost 20,979 cows.
