One of Stalkers contacts on the continent recently echoed a familiar refrain heard on these shores down the years. "Prices are desperately low and the mood is very low also" was the main thrust of what he said. Stalker could have closed the eyes and thought it was an Irish mushroom industry player chatting away on the line. But it was a very valued Dutch contact who was describing things in Holland. Seems like Europe is closer together in all senses these days – it's not often that the industry in both Ireland and Holland can be said to be so in synch!
