In last month's edition, the note entitled "Tees Up" mentioned the classic golfing tournament held in Loughgall by Middletown GAC.
In the note mention was made of sponsorship for a prize car. It should be made known that the sponsorship was only withdrawn on the advice from the Golfing Union of Ireland.
The Golfing Union of Ireland competition rules prohibited the prize car giveaway and unfortunately the sponsorship of such a prize was not able to go ahead.
The Middletown GAC were happy with and thanked all the sponsors to the event, which was a great success, in every respect.
