There was a bit more detail to the grant allocation that was reported on last month.
The mushroom sector had 30 grants approved, with an estimated Euro7.18 million of total investment approved; and Euro 2.89 million in grant aid approved by the Department of Agriculture.
Word is that most of the big players got money through in the grant allocation.
Of course these sums are dwarfed by the overall payments to the farming sector in 2007 - the total value of the payments recorded on the Statements announced by Minister Coughlan last month was Euro2.213 billion.
