This month's item on the trip to Vendome in France by compost producers to the Amycel European facility fails to mention another earlier expedition.
The team behind Custom Compost made a similar journey a few weeks beforehand to familiarise themselves with the spawn production methods, quality control methods and certification that Amycel have received.
Mark Walsh, the director at Custom, along with Pat Miskella sales and technical director and the company's rep on the road Michael Flanagan was also "in tow".
Their visit was briefer and very business-like.
To be sure the Custom boys missed out on the crack that attended the later visit by the Irish compost group, but nonetheless they got to explore the spawn facility in its entirety.
Stalker hears that one of the group of Irish who visited the Vendome plant at the end of November found the plush SNCF train without a flush.
Apparently the loos on the train were not operational on the trip down to Vendome - catching one of the group a tad short.
It was one of those times no doubt that one wished that one hadn't quaffed that last cup of coffee.
Needless to say there was a bit of p*ss taking on that journey.
