Stalker was trundling past the Shambles area in Armagh city on the night of October 4th when he spotted several personages that have featured in notes through the years. Stalker wondered what event might be happening to cause such an assemblage of known faces to be in the same place at the one time.
Upon further investigation, at the Charlemont Arms Hotel, Stalker learnt that a fiftieth birthday party was underway and crack was getting good.
Who was the new Hawaii Five O'er? None other than Caitriona McArdle, wife of Reen man Patrick, who was pictured in last month's issue standing beside Sir Cliff Richard (who has been in the entertainment biz for 50 years this month too!).
The "craic agus ceol" was apparently mighty and it looked like everyone was having a right oul' night of it. The surprise party numbered one hundred revellers – Stalkeris amazed that the party managed to maintain the surprise element.
Indeed some party-goers lasted until 6 a.m. the following morning.
Congrats to Caitriona - now off sunning herself in Tenerife - on the big night and the big numeral.
They say sixty is the new forty, so that means fifty must be the new thirty. Sure life hasn't even begun yet.
