As they say, when one door shuts another one opens - as long as it's not the door to the growing house!
Kevin Kernan formerly of Amarach Mushrooms got out of the industry not long ago. He'd only just bought a new tractor to help in emptying the mushroom houses, before taking the decision to quit the industry.
Now he has found that the brand new yoke is coming in handy for emptying other mushroom houses around the locality.
Stalker hears he's been emptying the houses at the Village on the Battleford Road outside Armagh, once home to the old Kernan empire (no relation?).
Good to see that know-how and new machinery are not going to waste.
