Manys an ageing rocker headed off to Slane Castle on the 18th of August to catch that uber band of merry men The Rolling Stones. Stalker wasn’t personally tempted to go stand in the big field and get rained on.
Some hardier souls though did make the pilgrimage to the site on the Boyne.
IM Transport's Martin Mallon and his wife Bernie were two of the intrepid rockers who helped swell the audience at the much heralded gig.
Stalker would love to hear if those who went to see the band at Slane in '82 and '07 rated the band better now than back then.
No matter the weather, nor the combined age of the group, it is certain that the fans got some true satisfaction.
