A fund raising dinner for Marie Curie Cancer Care was held in the Amagh City Hotel on the 23rd of June.
The dinner was organised by the family of Kitty Crealey, (mother of the late Harry Crealey, mushroom grower) in memory of their mother, who received the best of support and care from the Marie Curie Nurses.
Thanks are due especially to Sylvan Ireland who donated two All-Ireland Football Final tickets for the auction at the event. These tickets raised GBP 1,450 towards the impressive total amount of GBP 30,000.
Kitty's daughter Bernadette, married to mushroom grower Frank Tiffney, would like to thank all the relatives, friends and sponsors who attended and who dug deep into their pockets to achieve such a wonderful figure to donate to Marie Curie and also for helping make the occasion such a happy one and a testament to the life of Kitty.
The crack was good, the cause was beneficent, the contribution to charity stupendous - a great night, all in all.
