Stalker spotted this "farewell and best wishes" note in the Pennsylvania State University Plant Division newsletter.
"Tom Rhodes, Manager of the Mushroom Test-Demonstration Facility and Mushroom Research Centre, retired on March 31, 2007 after 35 years of service to Penn State and the mushroom program."
That's quite a stint in any mushroom programme.
Stalker wondered at the idea of the mushroom test demonstration - what exactly that might be.
It can't be like a crash test demonstration facility?
Maybe the boffins at Teagasc could enlighten Stalker on this one. Best wishes anyway to Mr Rhodes.
