In more un-hassled times the news that fresh mushrooms are scarce, and that prices for the fresh produce are good, would bring cheer to the heart of any industry observer.
Stalker has heard of one grower who basically quit the industry one week and then rethought the decision the next; in the end deciding to plump for giving it another lash, what with the reported scarcity and the lure of higher prices.
In the days that are in it, one can only be sceptical about any sustained price benefit to local growers and presume that Eastern European mushrooms will be there to fill in any holes in the market.
Good luck to the optimistic grower though - may the mushrooms grow well.
