At the meeting with the Minister of Agriculture at the end of May, it was reported that the last two remaining compost producers in Northern Ireland were in attendance.
However that is not exactly an accurate reflection of the state of compost production in the North.
It appears that the man from Marley is in the North too, utilising the compost yard that previously constituted Mourne Compost.
It would appear that Marley Compost is now a two site operation, and there is a bit of hauling going on between those two geographically non-contiguous sites - they're in different states even.
Sounds a bit like the European Parliament and their split site operation between Strasbourg and Brussels - it's a hard one for outsiders and onlookers to figure out.
