There were a couple of "feedbacks" by readers and emailers to the article on spawn by Francisco Arqueros.
Most of the responses were favourable, but also guiding in their feedback, aware that the author is in the midst of compiling what could be a definitive guide to the mushroom industry in Ireland. Dr Krystian Szudyga from Poland left some positive comments on themushroompeople.com website. Others were not at all happy.
A spawn plant manager in Europe hauled our contributor over some tepid coals for misrepresenting in his view the state of affairs.
As the piece is part of a larger work in progress, Stalker is sure that the IRCHSS scholar will take all the comments on-board, with his normal genial equanimity.
One slight error in the piece, (as opposed to a glaring misrepresentation) pointed out by the spawn plant manager - Euromycel (France) is not a part of Amycel Inc. Thankfully that is now cleared up for all readers!
It didn't spoil Stalker's enjoyment of the article, it has to be said.
