One grower in Monaghan that Stalker was talking to this month showed careful signs of optimism about the industry. The grower was saying that demand seemed to be returning for the produce and with demand one can get good prices.
He was cautious though, as he reckoned that the industry had been perilously close to winding up; but he said that things have straightened out for those still clinging in, and in his opinion the future is hopefully a tad rosier.
