A grower from the area near the metal bridge over the Blackwater lent his wife the car to go on a shopping trip to Craigavon. After completing her shopping in the Craigavon shopping centre complex, the unlucky woman discovered that the family car was missing from the carpark.
The police were called and the missing vehicle was reported stolen. After a two week period of waiting, without any word of the car being found, our hapless grower decided to purchase a new motor to replace the missing one.
The very next day the police called to say that a car matching the description of the "stolen" one had been located. The grower listened in disbelief as he was told that the motor was sitting in the carpark of -yes you've guessed it - the Craigavon shopping centre.
The grower and his family went to investigate, and thus it was, their car sitting in the exact spot where it had been parked, just over two weeks earlier!
Stalker is well impressed by both the keen-eyed shopping centre security staff and the new Policing Service for Northern Ireland. They successfully located the stolen motor and returned it to the rightful owners. Disregarding the fact that the car never budged, this was a joyous outcome and an unmitigated success in anyone's book.
