The tipping point for climate change may have come and gone, but the tipping point for media reporting of the subject was most definitely last year.
Since the start of 2007 no-one can have failed to notice the preponderance of stories on the news and in the newspapers about "green " issues.
Stalker was struck by some of the latest reporting in The Sunday Times. The colour magazine supplement had an apocalyptic map of Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales on the front cover in the 11th of March - showing the potential extent of submerged landmass if temperatures rise by 6C.
What caught Stalker's eye was the prediction that at such a temperature rise life on earth would cease to exist, except for fungi!
There may be no more people, nor no more The Mushroom People, but there'll still be mushrooms!
