2001 managed to be the embodiment of the notion of a bad year, locally and globally. It started out reasonably well, but went downhill very quickly.
The question is whether next year holds better or worse? Soothsayers are having a great time predicting all sorts; economic experts are being upbeat that things will get better – they're about as reliable as the soothsayers. The bottom line is nobody knows, and no matter what happens, life goes on. So although Confucius might have said something that might fit the times, Stalker just reckons that we should all have a good holiday season – the rest will take care of itself.
