The pickers involved in the case that was settled this month were dismissed for membership of a trade union.
An employment Appeals tribunal found in favour of 13 pickers from Lithuania and Latvia, awarding them compensation of Euro26,000.
The tribunal ruled that the dismissals were unfair. The total cost to the proprietor is estimated at nearly Euro350,000.
More bad publicity for the industry unfortunately, but it is good news for the pickers involved, and for the rights of pickers and workers throughout the industry.
