Stalker is always interested in stories where technology saves lives.
However the recent story of a mushroom picker saved by technology is not quite the usual way things work:
"An MP3 music player that a 25-year-old Vancouver man was listening to, as he wandered off to pick mushrooms in woods near Corvallis, at first hampered his mother's efforts to locate him. But it was the glowing light from the electronic device that caught the eye of rescuers who found him later in the middle of the night."
So the advice is, turn your pod before you go plod!
