The GAA Ulster Senior Football Final finally got decided in Croke Park on Saturday 23rd July.
A couple of familiar faces were to be seen in the stands. Reen man Eamonn Long and his wife Rose were enjoying the match. For Rose it was her first time in GAA HQ, and she thoroughly enjoyed the spectacle as well as result!
Caitriona McArdle, wife of Reen man Patrick, was also at the final, lapping up the sense of occasion in the clash of Orchard and Red-hand counties.
A thrilling finish left it a match to be savoured, maybe not a classic, but tension was guaranteed as the lead swapped throughout the match – with Armagh taking the laurels and lifting the cup in the end.
Perhaps the teams will meet again in the final stages of the All- Ireland – who would bet against it?
