The organist at St Patrick's Armagh Cathedral is leaving the post after 47 years.
George Minn has served the Diocese faithfully for all those years, and is now deserving of a well-earned rest from tinkling the ivories and pushing the pedals.
Stepping into the vacant post of organist is a young Mayobridge man, Kieran Murphy. Kieran is a son of well-known grower Patrick Murphy.
Word is that Kieran gets the musical drive from his mum's side.
No doubt ma and pa will be glowing with pride at this melodious appointment.
