OIL ALERT

Stalker was reading recently some marketing analysis that predicted that oil would be at $100 a barrel by the end of the year.

Whether that turns out to be the case or not, recent increases in the cost of oil have been having a knock-on effect.

Red diesel prices are heading skyward – and costs of packaging and plastics are on the increase too.

We could well be looking at tough times ahead.

Stalker, looks like your prediction has some substance. Now I wonder if you can help. I'm looking for the email address of Michael Slattery, a distant relative of mine. I understand he has been president of the Irish Mushroom Growers Association and lives in Rosstown. I'm hoping to visit Ireland next year and would love to make contact.
