As was noted last month, compost man Patsy Murphy was over in Poland lately along with some Greenhill Compost people.
As well as everything else, they were obviously surveying the industry in Poland with an eye to impact on the Irish scene.
One comment, elicited from a top Pole, that hit home, was that any composting facility that produced less than 2,000 tonne was a Mickey Mouse operation.
The general feeling aroused by the trip was that Poland is way ahead of this country in the production stakes.
That might make some feel Goofy. Others might not give a Donald Duck.
