Reen man Patrick McArdle was pleasantly surprised to run into a friend of old during the month of May.
Patrick bumped into Patsy Curran, a brother of Thomas Curran, of Curran Waste Disposal.
Patsy used to transport compost the length and breadth of the country for Reen Compost, twenty or more years ago.
The pair had not set eyes on each other for the best part of two decades and when they initially did come face to face, neither man instantly recognised the other.
However once they finally twigged who the other was, they fell into familiar conversation, covering the twenty years that had passed in the interim.
It's funny how twenty years can seem like the blink of a clear-sighted eye.
