One of Unimush Ireland's main men, Seamus Cassidy, is heading out to Malta for a reccy and possibly some R&R over the Easter period.
Seamus struck up a friendship with a mushroom man from Malta many years back, while working for Harte Peat, and has cultivated that friendship ever since.
It's amazing the contacts that one does make through the mushroom industry, worldwide and at home in Ireland. Valetta is just fantastic, one can look over the ancient harbour and buy some cheap silver and in Medina - find a terrace cafe and look out across the island.
Easter parades on the island, especially in the three cities opposite Valetta are worth the trip, with excitable Maltesers running through the streets with huge Virgins. To lunch in a restaurant on the front in the small fishing village of Marsaxlokk and maybe a trip to Gozo. Malta has plenty to offer.
Hopefully Seamus will thoroughly enjoy the Maltese hospitality to its full extent, and enjoy the sunshine that the island is famous for.
