Reen operative Patrick McArdle got a big surprise for his 50th birthday over the long St.Patrick's weekend this March.
Patrick was en route to the airport before he realised that he was being whisked off by wife Caitriona for a long romantic birthday treat in Barcelona.
The surprise holiday was a fabulous success – the couple toured the architecturally magnificent city, wined, dined, and also had great weather to boot.
Barcelona has recently gained a reputation for pervasive pick pocketing, but Patrick and Caitriona were untroubled by any negatives, and had a thoroughly positive and enjoyable mini-break.
Stalker and The Mushroom People wish Patrick many many happy returns, and an equally happy second half-century.
Eagle-eyed TV heads might even have spotted Patrick's mug shot on the UTV weather watchers photo spot on Tuesday 22nd March.
