Hughie Quinn from Dromore who works for McGeary's has many strings to his bow. Readers might recall that last month his prowess in taking point in a convoy was revealed. This month Hugh featured in an article in the Ulster Herald newspaper due to his appearance in a film no less. This unique film (it surely is that) portrays the life of yesteryear, from 1920s to the present in the Stralongford and Tummery districts of Tyrone. "A Life On The Land" was shot entirely on location within the area, and it combines drama, interviews and music in its telling of the story of generations past. It is hoped that the film will go to video and be out in time for Christmas – then we can all sit back and watch the marvellous Hughie in action.
