Henk Van Gerwen was over in Ireland again in September. Henk was over mid month doing expert consultancy work for Sylvan Ireland.
The familiar Dutch visitor had dates both north and south on this trip.
A brown mushroom farm walk at Gerald Hegarty's in Benburb was well attended. Some of the other brown growers there included Paddy Conway from Loughgall in Co Armagh; Brendan Donnelly from Armagh city; Malachy Rudden and Derek Spears from Cavan; and Madge Conaty from Monaghan.
Henk is due to be back over in October for the UFU meeting mentioned elsewhere in these pages.
