A number of Irish growers visited the recent 'Mushroom Days' in Holland. Growers from right across the country were part of the contingent; growers from the south east, north and a large Tipperary group.
Clearly a good time certainly was had by all and it appears that late nights were the order of the day. It wasn't all play however with the group visiting the big conference hall at Brabanthallen, as well as making a number of extra farm visits during their trip.
Of course they also found time to visit the local Heineken plant (back to play again), as well as a visit to Amsterdam (more play it would seem) and all that that entails. Luckily the female contingent in the group helped to keep any boyish boisterousness in the city and in the brewery under a certain amount of control.
By all accounts though the trip was both eventful and enjoyable for all concerned.
