WALSH MUSHROOMS - £10 MILLION FOR NEW FACILITY AT EVESHAM
It was at the UK-Ireland bilateral summit held in Liverpool on the 6th of March that Walsh Mushrooms made a mega investment announcement.
The company is planning to build a £10 million state-of-the-art mushroom-growing facility at its Evesham site in Worcestershire.
The company said the investment represents its “commitment to be at the forefront of mushroom production, whilst recognising the challenges ahead, particularly with labour”.
The site is set to integrate world-leading robotic technology to enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes and significantly reduce labour and energy requirements.
The beaming visage of Alan Walsh, Director of the Walsh Mushrooms Group, at the summit told the story - a good news story at a super friendly Irish- British summit.
