Codd Mushrooms has landed a new contract with Aldi to supply the German Discount store with €9 million worth of mushrooms to its Irish stores over two years.
Codd mushrooms, which is based in Tullow, in Co. Carlow will supply Aldi’s 133 Irish stores with 13.3 million packs of mushrooms. The company first began supplying Ldi in 2007, and this represents a 600 per cent increase on their original contract with the store.
MD Leslie Codd said “ This year alone we have been able to employ an additional 10 new full time members of staff, bringing the number on our team to 250. We now plan to continue our growth into 2020.” The view from the Aldi side of the equation is a glowing endorsement of the work put in by the team at Codd Mushrooms.
