Niall Whittle, Farm Manager of Langford Farm scooped the ‘Outstanding Producer Award’ at the recent M&S Farming for the Future Awards for England and Wales. The awards took place at the the Royal Welsh Show on Monday 23rd July.

The awards celebrate farmers who take that extra step towards more sustainable farming practices and whose technical ability or business aptitude promises to make a positive impact on their sector.

Marian Byrne from Monaghan Mushrooms, who nominated Niall for the award said, “Niall’s passion, determination and leadership means that the Langford site is now one of our benchmark sites in the business. The dedication needed to manage a successful mushroom farm is significant and to do so, whilst also taking steps to become as ‘green’ as possible, highlights just how hard-working Niall is.”
