The pound sterling has firmed up again against the euro, heading towards the €1.14 mark at the end of November.
The roller-coaster of currency ups and downs will probably continue into December, up to the big EU meeting, to decide if enough progress has been made on phase 1 Brexit talks, thus enabling movement onto the next phase of talks, encompassing trade negotiations.
British and EU negotiators have reached a deal for Britain to pay between €45bn and €55bn to leave the European Union, the Daily Telegraph has reported.
The newspaper cited two sources saying the agreement was reached at a meeting in Brussels last week, but that the final amount depended "on how each side calculates the output from an agreed methodology".
