MONAGHAN MUSHROOMS CREATES 20 NEW JOBS FOR GRADUATES
Monaghan Mushrooms, Europe’s largest producer of mushrooms and one of the world’s largest producers of mushrooms, has created 20 new jobs for graduates. Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Mr. Richard Bruton T.D. recently welcomed the launch of the company’s Graduate Programme 2014 in Dublin, in association with the Irish Management Institute and supported by Enterprise Ireland.
The company has since developed it to become a two-year Graduate Programme offering career progression to graduate employees across a range of sectors. They include Agricultural Science, Agribusiness Management, Distribution, Data Analysis, Engineering, Food, Finance, HR, Logistics, Marketing, R&D, Technology, Sales and Supply Chain.
Welcoming the announcement Minister Bruton said: “The food sector is a key part of our Action Plan for Jobs, and in the past year we have seen very impressive employment growth in this area. Today’s announcement that Monaghan Mushrooms, an Irish company which employs 900 people in Ireland and over 3500 worldwide, is expanding further is very welcome.
This is an Irish company which already operates in six countries and whose ambitions are truly global, investing in its management capability and ensuring that it will have the capacity to deliver on those ambitions.
