The Mushroom Days Foundation who organise The Mushroom Days event in The Netherlands have come up with a new award for the event and the industry.
For those whose initiatives transcend their own immediate sphere; whose achievements result in vital momentum for the entire sector and who, as veritable ambassadors, contribute to the positive image of the mushroom sector.
The Mushroom Days Foundation wants to recognise this person with a reward for their services to the sector, by presenting the ‘Ambassador of the Mushroom Industry Award’ at the 2013 Mushroom Days event.
The aims of the award are threefold: to publicly recognise those who have made immense efforts to benefit the mushroom industry; to encourage commitment to the mushroom sector and to make a positive contribution to the image of the mushroom sector.
Eligible names of candidates can be submitted in writing to the board of The Mushroom Days Foundation by a nominator in the mushroom sector. The nomination must be accompanied by a detailed explanation for why the candidate is considered worthy of the award. All nominations will be treated confidentially and no information will be revealed about the nominees. The winner will be chosen by the board and will be announced at the Welcome Event of The Mushroom Days 2013 in Den Bosch. The 33rd event takes place from Wednesday 29th May until Friday 31st May.
The prize consists of a certificate, a small token gift and a weekend away break for two.
