All Mushroom Sales Exceed $1 Billion in Value
Sales of the 2010-2011 United States mushroom crop totaled 862 million pounds, up 9 percent from the 2009-2010 season. Value of sales for the 2010-2011 United States mushroom crop is $1.02 billion, up 10 percent from the previous season. The number of growers, at 282, is down 35 from last season. The average price is $1.18 per pound, up 1 cent from a year ago.
