September 30, 2010 is 80th birthday of the international well-known mushroom scientist Professor Shuting Chang, Emeritus Professor of Biology, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, an Officer of the most excellent order of the British Empire (OBE), and the honorary chairman of the fifth international medicinal mushroom conference.
It has been agreed that there will be a symposium on mushroom biology and a birthday celebration party on Sep 30, 2010, in Beijing China.

The Collection for Celebration the 80th Birthday of the World Renowned Mushroom Biologist Professor Shuting Chang will be published under the guidance of Professor Shuting Chang and academician Li Yu. The collection covers as following:
① Prof.Shuting Chang Scientific Papers Collection
All papers which had been published were collected, collated and edited into the collection since Prof.Shuting Chang has engaged in research of edible mushroom industry in 1960, including his prospect for development of world edible mushroom industry, keynote speeches and other important documents made in WSMBMP and IMMC. It consists 4 books, 210 articles, and 1700-1800 pages.
②Prof.Shuting Chang's speeches
Main social activities were collected and edited since Prof.Shuting Chang has engaged in research of edible mushroom Industry. Readers may learn important historical events during the development process of edible mushroom industry, Prof.Shuting Chang's imparted his knowledge all over the world,and his great contribution to the development of the industry.The book is nearly 500 pages with pictures.
③Congratulations and Media Reports
This book is divided into three parts, nearly 300 pages:
Part I: Academician Li Yu organized Prof.Shuting Chang's friends, students around the world to congratulate his 80th birthday.
Part II: In 1993, Prof. Miles organized Prof.Shu Ting's friends, students around the world to congratulate his 63th birthday.
Part III: Domestic and foreign media reports about Prof.Shuting Chang.
At the same time, a documentary film will be made to introduce Prof.Shuting Chang's contribution to China and world edible mushroom industry and main activities.
